I really like the many photographs on the Boston Public Library website of people using the library!
I also think that the teen movie reviews on the Denver Public site are really cool!
I downloaded "The Owl and the Pussycat" by Edward Lear.

Wiki "fun and learn" time

I had some fun with the Charlie Brown cartoon and have used Wikis before, adding to the ALSC wiki about the partnership committees that I am a Priority Consultant for.
I have not been a fan of Wikipedia because with my librarian background and daily experience I have always put accuracy and reliability of information first.
I can see Wiki use for discussions between staff instead of a meeting at a set date and time.
This would allow a freer exchange perhaps than emails to the group concerned.

Podcasting good things to share

I looked at the Denver Public Library podcast and the Charlotte Mcklenburg Teen pages--I liked the cool names for sections (the Loft) and think this is a good way to promote what the library has to offer teens.
I would like to try this with an author visit in the coming year.

And happy me to have finally found some time to work on 10 things. Never too late to learn something! Happy also to have done the RSS websites, the IM, and got MySpace set up too. Now I can see what my niece is doing with her site.
It's useful to have the RSS set up so I can get new things from my most regularly visited websites for my work here.

Just using a chat abbrev. to share my experience with IM chatting. Did this at home with my son in Boston when he was in college but fun to share with some staff members and good to have it set up at our YS desk now.

Wonders never cease! I am actually here again--been quite a while since I've had the time to focus on this project--not that I really have it now as I need to go down to the desk. But I just did the RSS and Feed Readers and it went pretty quickly--enjoyed a few jokes from Joke of the Day. I plan to look at these tomorrow sometime and see what happened since now.

Wow, I'm back in my blog! Sorry I will miss the cake on Thursday--but I will be in Tuscon.
I hope to spend a few more minutes here next time, but I have too many things to do today.
